TAGGED

What is your husband's name?
Well that depends on how much I like him at the moment but usually Nathan

How long have you been married?
One year and 19 days... does that mean we are no longer newly weds?

How long did you date?
We got engaged almost exactly a year from when we first met and then were married six months later.

How old is he?
He is 25

Who eats sweets?
We both do but Nathan much more than me. Nathan will eat just about any kind of sweet or dessert where I am only a fan of brownies or cake frosting.

Who said "I Love You" first?
He did!

Who is taller?
He is but not by much. He is taller by only 2 inches. But considering the size of his family I am glad that he is at least that tall. Nathan has said he hopes that our kids get some of my brothers height, who is 6'5", to improve the gene pool.

Who can sing best?
Nathan is a wonderful singer. Just last Sunday we were sitting in church and the two ladies in front of us turned around at the end and complimented Nathan on his voice. I am awful at singing, my mom and brother have absolutely beautiful voices but I got the bad genes and can sing like my dad, which is nothing to brag about.

Who is smarter?
Is this a serious question?? Hahahahah... me of course!!

Who does the laundry?
I do because there are certain things that I don't like dryed and when I had Nathan do it and everything got thrown in, I learned my lesson to just do it myself. Plus we would both completely run out of clothes if it was up to him before he even started a load.

Who pays the bills?
I like things paid on time... so I do!!

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
Nathan does, it's the side closer to the alarm clock and he gets up before I do.

Who mows the lawn?
He usually does but I will go out with him and pull weeds.

Who cooks dinner?
We both do. Sometimes I cook for him and sometimes I don't feel like cooking. We do really good cooking things together!!

Who drives?
Usually he drives, unless he is tired or we are going somewhere I know, like Salt Lake or Sacramento then I always drive. But I usually like to drive because I am a horrible back seat driver and he usually likes to drive because I am an aggressive driver and he thinks thats bad. What does he know?

Who is the first to admit they are wrong?
Well since I am never wrong then I guess that means I rarely have to admit it.

Who kissed who first?
Nathan kissed my first. Katie and I drove from Sacramento to Boise to spend the week with Nathan and Luc and the first night we were there we came close to kissing when we said goodnight but I made him wait at least till the second night. There were lots of butterflies, it was perfect.

Who asked who out first?
Well there really wasn't any asking out, our first date was with Katie, Luc, Nathan, my mom, and I. We all crammed into my mom's car and went to Macaroni Grill where my mom bought us all dinner. And then we went to the Hilton Hotel and rode the giant flying swing. That makes you feel like your flying through the air. And after that we rode the giant sling shot where Nicole almost lost her dinner. Then we walked over to the go carts and mom had just watched on the previous rides and has never driven a go cart so she was just going to sit out again until I convinced her she had to drive. So we all rode a bunch of go-carts and then went inside the hotel to the bowling alley where my mom proceeded to kick everyones butt in bowling. Not the romantic first date but definitely the most memorable. If your asking why my mom was there, no I don't need a chaperone on dates.

Who wears the pants?
Well we both like to wear pants, I am just a lot more vocal about the things I would like to happen.

How did you meet?
Best story ever.... Katie and I are attached at the hip at horse shows. I was home for the summer and we were in Reno, NV for a big week long horse show. One of the first days I saw these two guys in cowboy hats and spurs and immediately said, "Well they don't fit in here". Yes it's a horse show, but it's an Arabian horse show. And then later in the week Katie decided to ride her horse late at night. I went with her and was just sitting on the railing. We walked in and these same two guys were riding around and running there horses into the fence, aka fencing. (It's a reining thing). So then Katie and I started making fun of them and she pretended to do the same thing with her horse. Then Luc came over and started talking with Katie and Nathan followed. The first flash of his smile and I was hooked. Well we talked with them for quite a while and then decided to be done for the night. The next day Katie and I were sitting in our aisle way by our barns and I see a cute cowboy stroll by and I stop him to chat and he invites us over to ride some reiners. So Katie and I went over and tried out there horses. That night ended at 3 in the morning and they were leaving to go back to Boise the next day, which would have been friday. On Saturday about noon I got a text message asking what I would think if they came down and took us out. I thought they were completely joking and crazy. Well I got one part of that right. In the meantime my mom drove up from Sacramento to watch me ride and we had plans to go to dinner that night. Just as I getting ready to pick up my mom two cowboys come strolling up our aisle way. They had drove from Boise, Id to Reno, NV just to hang out with us for one night. I told them I had plans with my mom and I couldn't ditch her. Then about two weeks later Katie got a crazy idea to go ride reining horses in Idaho. So her and I drove up to Idaho for the week. And the rest is HISTORY!!

Jerry Seinfeld

For those of you who know the Kent family they are the biggest Seinfeld fans I have met. And Nathan is no exception. So when I heard in November that he was coming to Boise I knew exactly what I was going to get Nate for Christmas. Well the big day came last night and it was the greatest show I have seen. My stomach hurt so bad and even the guy who opened for Jerry was just as funny. He went on for a while about being married so we were able to relate, it was so awesome. I unfortunately don't have any pictures because there were signs everywhere saying no cameras or recording devices. I still tried but when the giant auditorium is dark and you bust out your camera and the whole room can see you glowing I didn't want to risk it.

New Years 2009

Since my recent unemployment I was really focused on finishing up school. And now that I have accomplished that I am trying to cope with keeping myself busy. Last week I was going absolutely stir crazy out our place and needed to get away. So I headed to Salt Lake for the week. It was an awesome trip and I met some really great girls and caught up with old friends. It was exactly what I needed. Since Nathan worked all day New Years Eve and New Years day I didn't feel completely awful for leaving him. On New Years Eve Amanda, Megann, Ashley, and I got all dressed up and went to Tepanyaki for dinner and then headed downtown for First Night. It was absolutely freezing cold but there were tons of beautiful Christmas lights everywhere and thousands of people. There were also fire works at midnight. It was a great time except for not being able to feel my feet after.
To make the trip even better on Saturday these same girls and I went sledding in Park City. At this place in particular there is a tow rope that takes you all the way to the top. Because I am not an experienced sledder it was SOOOO much fun.
It was an awesome girls filled week. I can't wait to do it again. These girls are the best!!!
